RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will resume daily nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode starting October 16, 2026. This route re-establishes a direct link between the UAE emirate and the southern Indian state of Kerala. Tickets are already available through the airline’s sales channels. The route will connect Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport. Air Arabia announced the resumption on October 6.

This daily flight service provides travelers with an additional direct option between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is a key city along Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The announcement did not specify the departure or arrival times. It also did not mention which aircraft will operate the resumed flights. Air Arabia has not yet published flight numbers for the October restart. Travelers can check current schedules when booking their tickets.
Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali expressed enthusiasm about bringing back this route. He stated that the daily flights would offer a convenient connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline also highlighted the strong travel demand between the two locations. The announcement focused on the route’s connectivity, frequency, and confirmed restart date. However, it did not include passenger projections or traffic estimates. No additional operational changes were announced along with the route restart.
Increased Flight Frequency Strengthens Ras Al Khaimah’s International Network
The return of Kozhikode flights will expand Ras Al Khaimah’s international route offerings. Currently, Air Arabia operates nonstop flights from Ras Al Khaimah to Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar. Kozhikode will be added to that list starting October 16. The airline began operations from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014. Since then, the emirate has remained one of its main bases within the United Arab Emirates.
The Kozhikode route was initially launched on November 22, 2023. Originally, it operated three flights per week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These services used Airbus A320 aircraft under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The newly announced schedule will increase the route’s frequency to daily flights. However, the airline has not confirmed whether the same flight numbers will be used again. Nor has it revealed operating times for the resumed flights.
Tickets Available for the October 16 Flight Resumption
Passengers can book tickets via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies. These booking options were confirmed alongside the route’s announcement. The airline did not specify when the original Kozhikode service was discontinued or provide a reason for the interruption. It also did not publish starting fares for the resumed flights. Details on aircraft allocation are also missing. The only confirmed information includes the route, daily frequency, and October 16 start date.
This restart restores a nonstop connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala nearly three years after the initial route launch. The service will now operate daily, replacing the previous three-times-weekly schedule. The route will again connect the two airports directly, without any intermediate stops. Passengers seeking specific flight times, fares, or flight numbers should review current booking information before traveling. Air Arabia has not announced any other changes to the Kozhikode route beyond the daily service restart.
