SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport beginning November 15, 2026. The airline will operate this route four times weekly. This new service strengthens the direct travel options between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia already connects Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, providing passengers with access to two airports serving Amman. The upcoming flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Air Arabia launches Sharjah flights to Amman City Airport
Sharjah gains another direct Amman connection as Air Arabia expands its Jordan network.

Flight G9 169 departs from Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs from Amman at 11:20 a.m. and lands back in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency network. The route was announced on October 8, more than a month prior to the first scheduled flight.

This new route from Sharjah expands Air Arabia Group’s existing network in Jordan. The group already operates flights from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria to Amman. Specifically, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi connects Zayed International Airport with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, the airline runs direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new service from Sharjah offers travelers another departure point for reaching the Jordanian capital.

Second Jordanian Airport Joins Sharjah Network

Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, stated that the new service provides travelers with an additional airport option in Amman. He emphasized that this route will offer greater convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport. As a result, Amman City Airport will become a second gateway into Jordan on Air Arabia’s Sharjah route network.

Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched flights to Amman City Airport. The service began on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This operation already served Queen Alia International Airport before adding the second Amman airport. When the new service started, Air Arabia reported that the Abu Dhabi schedule offered 10 weekly flights to Amman. The airline’s two-airport model will now extend to Sharjah as well.

Four Weekly Flights Strengthen UAE-Jordan Flight Connectivity

Throughout its published schedule, the new Sharjah flights will use the G9 169 and G9 170 service numbers. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline also offers SkyTime entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers are encouraged to book the new Amman City Airport flights via the airline’s usual sales channels before operations commence in November.

The November launch broadens Air Arabia Group’s connectivity between the UAE and Jordan through multiple operating bases. Passengers from Sharjah will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Passengers from Abu Dhabi already enjoy service to both airports via Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Alexandria also maintains a direct route to Amman City Airport. The addition of the Sharjah flights increases the group’s Jordan schedule to four weekly departures from this new gateway.
